BIA MEASUREMENT
WHY IS A BIA MEASUREMENT USEFUL?
BIA stands for bioelectrical impedance analysis. This measurement enables precise analysis of the amount and location of muscle mass, fatty tissue (total and in the abdominal cavity, known as visceral fat), and body water. This allows conclusions about your physical fitness, metabolic situation, and possible health risks – because body weight only tells half the story!
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE THE MEASUREMENT:
- You should avoid muscle soreness and strenuous exercise 24–36 hours before the measurement.
- Please eat your last main meal at least 4 hours before the measurement.
- Please drink your last glass of liquid 2 hours before the measurement.
- Please avoid alcohol at least 12 hours before the measurement.
- The measurement results are not meaningful in the case of pregnancy.
- Exclusion criteria: pacemakers, electrical implants, active prostheses.
